A 3D printable file is normally created by a 3D designer with the purpose of printing. This is different than a 3D rendering for just visualization. A 3D file is an original file usually created from scratch. You can also 3D-scan an object and then have a designer prepare it for 3D print.
If you do not have a 3D file, here are some options to obtain one:
- Visit a site like Thingiverse.com. Here you can choose a free 3D file and either modify it or print it as-is with Voodoo Manufacturing.
- Create a free Tinkercard account. This free program allows you to explore basic 3D design and create printable files (make sure to export them as .STL).
- Request a Design Quote from Voodoo Manufacturing. Our designers are ready to help you transform your vision into a 3D printable file.
